Communication Manager Messaging Embedded is supported on S8300D, S8510, S8800, HP ProLiant DL360 G7 1U and Dell PowerEdge R610 Servers.
Communication Manager Messaging Federal is supported only on an S8800 Server.
This protocol integrates Communication Manager Messaging and Communication Manager through the SIP protocol. This protocol involves the use of Session Manager R6.0 that handles SIP calls and routes them through Communication Manager.
The Communication Manager Messaging server does not use RAM Disk. As a result, the server does not create a RAM Disk partition and does not boot from RAM Disk.
Communication Manager servers have a serial port. This serial port can be used for a direct connection to a laptop or PC. The port is called Service on the S8XXX server.
The AUDIX Data Acquisition Package (ADAP) is not supported.
You can administer the system through the use of a SSH session and one of the following terminal emulations:
Avaya 386
Avaya 4410 (for PROCOMM PLUS 4410 or Terranova emulation)
Avaya 513 (for Terranova emulation)
Avaya 715
Avaya 4425
