Defining Basic Features and Parameters

About this task

The messaging software comes with default login parameters and default system time limits. Also, certain features that must be activated globally for all subscribers (for example, Multiple Personal Greetings) are either activated or not activated by default. You might want to change some of these parameters or to activate or deactivate features as the needs of system subscribers change.

Note

You must use the sa login to change data on this screen. Voice messaging administrators who use the vm login can view only the data on this screen

To change system features and parameters:

Procedure

Log in to the Communication Manager Messaging web page.
On the left hand panel, under Messaging Administration, click System Administration to administer system feature parameters.At the enter command prompt, enter change
The system displays the Administer System Attributes and Features page.
The following features can be administered:
- Log-In Parameters
- Subsciber Password Aging Limits (DAYS)
- Input Time Limits (Days)
- Disconnect Options
- Miscellaneous Parameters
- Feature Activation
- Multimedia Parameters
- Call Transfer Out of Messaging
- Announcement Sets
- Rescheduling Increments for Full Mailbox Delivery
Click Save.
