Changing an Administrator Password or Password Aging

About this task

To change the password for the Privileged or Non Privileged Administrator login account:

Procedure

  1. Use the dadmin login and password.

    If dadmin does not exist, you must create a dadmin account that is part of the susers group.

  2. At the enter command prompt, enter change password login account name (custom user-login or another login previously administered).

    The system displays the Change Password screen.

  3. Complete the fields on this screen by using the information in the table for Field Definitions:

    Change Password screen.

  4. When you finish entering password information, press F3 o save the information in the system database.

    The cursor returns to the command line, and the system displays the message:

    Command Successfully Completed.

  5. Enter another administrative command at the enter command prompt or enter exit.

Password of Login Making Change Up to 12 alphanumeric characters. Enter your password.
LOGIN BEING CHANGED
Login Name Up to 8 alphanumeric characters. Enter cust, sa, vm, craft, or browser or a login name previously created on the Login Administration screen.
LOGIN'S PASSWORD INFORMATION
Password Up to 12 alphanumeric characters. Enter the password for the particular login name.
Reenter Login's Password   Reenter the password to be used for the particular login name.
