Checking the Restart Causes

Note

Avaya recommends that you restart the messaging system at least once every 90 days. The restart refreshes Linux® operating system resources and keeps applications running reliably.

The Communication Manager server system keeps track of the system restarts. Use this log to determine when to perform the next restart.

To check the restarts:

Procedure

Log in in to the Communication Manager System Management Interface web page.
The system displays the Communication Manager System Management Interface web page.
Click Server (Maintenance) from the Administration menu.
Select:
Communication Manager Restart log on the Select Logs page under Diagnostics.
Click View Log button.
The system displays the View System Logs page.
Check the information on the screen for the best date to reboot the system.
